Staff
Directors are well respected musicians/educators who teach in colleges and public schools. Most directors return each season to conduct band, jazz ensembles, show choirs, and concert choir.
Counselors are highly experienced music teachers and professional performers. Several are former Signature campers. Most counselors return from year to year and work as a skilled team to provide a music and camp life program that is fun and inspiring. Counselors provide evening supervision in the dorms and throughout the day at meals, music and recreation activities.
Counselors in Training (CITs) are former Signature campers between 19 and 21 years of age, currently attending several highly respected music schools throughout the northeast. The CITs play and sing in the performing groups and live in the dorms among the campers. The CITs know the camp values, history and policies and are a great group of role models who are sensitive to the questions and concerns of first time campers |
